Knit using the November yarn club from The Nappy Garden, these longies have been knit for a little girl, so Ive finished them off with a crochet shell edging.

Ive knit these longies using my October yarn club from The Nappy Garden - Fireworks, this yarn is aptly named :)

A customer has sent me her handspun yarn and requested a hat for her daugher. Ive used it to knit a hat that will fit this year, and has enough stretch to last next Winter too - I always think its good to get as much wear as you can from things :)

Ive added a tassled i-cord which hangs nicely when the hat is worn.

The second part of my collaberation with Allie of Scrunchkins...

Ive hand painted this yarn to match the deep pink Olivia style hoody, and this has produced a much more uniformed effect :)

These longies have a 23" hip, 19" rise and 11" inside leg

The first part of a collaberation between myself and Allie of Scrunchkins, who made a beautiful dark pink velour Olivia style hoody, with the hood lined in Pink Giraffes fabric.

Ive kettled dyed this yarn to match, and hand knit a soakerless A line skirt, which has been finished with a shell picot edge.

Custom sized Very Berry longies, these have a 23" hip, 19" rise and 11" inside leg.

Ive finished these off with a twisted style cuff and waistband in contrasting Berry, and a twisted cord.

First up for December were these small longies, knit in LLS Sunset in a 100% Organic Merino yarn :)

I love knitting small woolies and wanted to keep these!
Not sure why I cant get the photograph to rotate properly :?

A new style for me - these leggings are designed with a closer, snug fit and Ive finished them with a knitted picot edge meaning they can be used as cropped leggings if the warm weather ever returns :)

Knit using LLS Very Berry colourway, with a contrasting Berry trim.

A pair of custom sized longies, knit with solid stripes - these are one of my favourites :D

So dinky and lovely :D

Large crops which Ive knit using the October yarn club - finished with contrasting waistband and frilled cuff, these have turned out so pretty!

Monday, 8 November 2010

A 22" adult sized crochet beanie, made using my own pattern, and LLS Waterlillies 100% Merino yarn.

Finished with a crocheted shell edge and attached flower, this is designed to be close fitting, and very snug and warm for the colder weather.

A pair of slongies - longies with an attached skirty :)

This skirty is a shorter length A line, finished with an empire style hem, and is knit using PK Girl Rustic yarn. The longies have been knit in turquoise with empire style cuffs to complement the skirt.

The added skirt makes a big difference to the look of a pair of longies - really pretty and girly!

And the second small soaker - this is a bright boys scrappy, made using 100% Merino yarn in various colourways.

First of 2 small knitted soakers for a custom order.

This one was knit using Mirasol Hacho DK weight Merino in their Olive Sienna colourway, with an added tail. I adapted my soaker pattern for this one to accomodate the different weight of the yarn but it turned out perfect :)

Sunday, 24 October 2010

I received this gorgeous yarn as my September Yarn Club from The Nappy Garden. The theme was Autumn and the yarn itself is really gender neutral. So to make these longies really girly, Ive added a frilled cuff and edged it in the Autumn colourway.

Love them and will definately be ordering some of this colourway for bump!

A pair of longies that have taken an age to dry in this cold wet weather! These are knit using LLS Close colourway, and have a huge 13" inside leg to fit a very tall little boy :)

Tuesday, 19 October 2010

Ive been busy completing a custom order and couldnt post piccies until the customer received it, as she asked for a surprise :D

So, we have a pair of large/x-large custom sized longies knit in the lovely PK Jasper colourway, and a pair of small longies knit in LLS Raspberries.

Also included in the order, were a pair of 0-6 month baby cuff booties and a newborn crocheted beanie, in LLS Raspberry Superwash yarn, finished with LLS Raspberries trim/flower.

I have another pair of longies drying and starting another pair this evening after a very disturbed night last night *yawn* so hoping for a cat nap later this afternoon :D

A custom order, using the LLS September yarn club yarn :)

Small knitted longies, finished with a crochet shell edging to match the crocheted newborn beanie hat.

Friday, 24 September 2010

I finished this soaker last night, lanolised overnight and have had it drying today - thanks to the dry weather (for a change) it will be dry by tomorrow morning!

This is the 'rear-view' of a crocheted soaker, crocheted under licence using the Wigglebunz Creation pattern. This is a fantastic pattern as it gives that round shape on the bum to accomodate a cloth nappy, and size can be totally customised - this one has a 22" rise and 25" hips.

Ive used the Glens of Antrim colourway, from my exclusive Antrim Coast and Glens range which is dyed by LLS. Its one of my favourite colours, the natural tones are subtle and quite different to a lot of the brighter yarns I use, and of course, because its a range which has been inspired from my locality which happens to be an area of outstanding natural beauty!

You wont find this colourway anywhere else - and I have another 2 colours in the range, The Giants Causeway and The Ceilidh - I have a few more colourways in mind, but its getting the time to get them down on paper and work with LLS to develop them!

Phew, finally finished..

After a few sicky days, I was finally able to finish the last inch of this soakerless Juliette skirty.
Its in PK Cherry Bloom colourway, and is custom sized 12" in length - so pretty!
Im really loving all these PK colourways Im using at the minute, this is the last for a while though, I have some LLS yarn on my hook already and have a crocheted soaker on the go!

1 year on - and I finally remember to start updating :)

Well, 1 year on from setting up this blog, and I have been so busy I havent had the chance to update yet ...

So, very quickly - Droopy Drawers opened 1st October 2009 and I have been really lucky to have a full order book since then :D Im fully booked right up until the end of November at the minute and have had to book a few of my own slots to get some knitting done of my own :D

I WILL update my blog more often - its a great place to keep progress and finished item piccies - and to make sure I use it, Im putting this on my favourites tab - no excuse now :D

So to start with, heres a pair of custom longies finished yesterday in PK Elements colourway - Custom sized, these have a 24" hip, 20" rise and a looooong 14" inside leg measurement...
I have another pair on my needles already for the same customer so watch this space for piccies in the next day or 2!
